💉 Yellow Fever Vaccination — Mandatory Entry Requirement
All foreign participants attending the NORMXI 2025 Symposium in Accra, Ghana, must be vaccinated against Yellow Fever prior to applying for electronic E-visa. This is a compulsory health requirement enforced by the Government of Ghana. You cannot apply for E-visa without submitting proof of Yellow Fever vaccination.
Important: The Yellow Fever certificate becomes valid 10 days after the vaccination, so ensure you take the vaccine well in advance of travel.
This requirement applies to all travelers, including those from visa-exempt African countries. No traveler will be permitted entry into Ghana without this vaccination record.

Please note that all foreign participants traveling to Ghana are required to present proof of Yellow Fever vaccination upon arrival. Kindly ensure you are vaccinated in advance and carry your vaccination certificate with you as part of your travel documents.

To apply for a visa to attend NORMXI 2025, you are required to submit an official invitation letter from the symposium organizers.

When requesting your invitation letter, please include your full name, passport number, and institution or affiliation.
🌍 Visa-Free Access for Some African Countries
Participants from certain African nations may not require a visa to enter Ghana. However, regardless of visa exemption, you must still present a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate upon arrival.
If you are unsure about your visa exemption status, please check with your nearest Ghanaian embassy or consult the Ghana Immigration Service website.
Applying for an Electronic Visa (E-Visa)
Ghana offers an Electronic Visa (E-Visa) platform for eligible travelers to apply online. This is a convenient and efficient way to secure your visa before travel.
You will need the following for your E-Visa Application:
- Valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate
- Official invitation letter from NORMXI 2025
- Passport valid for at least 6 months
- Recent passport-sized photo
- Flight itinerary and proof of accommodation
- Details of the conference location
