Oral Presentation Guidelines

11th International Symposium on Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM XI).

GENERAL INFORMATION

All presenters at NORM XI are required to adhere to the following guidelines to ensure consistency and professionalism in the delivery of oral presentations.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • File Format: Presentations must be submitted in electronic format as either a .PPT or .PPTX file.
  • Submission Deadline: All presentations must be submitted by August 20, 2025.
  • Submission Method: Files may be sent via email to [email protected]
  • Presenter Registration: Only registered presenters may submit presentations. Please ensure registration is completed prior to submission.
  • Extended Abstract: A 5-page extended abstract must also be submitted using the official template.

  • FILE NAMING FORMAT:
    All submissions must be saved using the following format: AbstractID_Surname
    This applies to:

    • PowerPoint presentation (e.g.  102_Johnson.pptx)
    • Extended abstract (e.g.  102_Johnson_Abstract.docx)
    • Biographical summary ( e.g. 102_Johnson_Bio.docx)

PRESENTATION SPECIFICATIONS

Duration

  • Total Time: 20 minutes per presentation
    • Presentation Time: 15 minutes
    • Q&A Session: 5 minutes
  • Limit the number of slides accordingly to fit within the allotted time.

Slide Format 

  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9 widescreen
  • Slide Numbering: All slides must be numbered, and the total number of slides should be clearly indicated.
  • Template: All presenters must use the official NORM XI PowerPoint template below:.

Front Slide Requirements

  • Mandatory Information:
    • Presentation Title
    • Subtitle (optional)
    • Name of Presenter
    • Names of Co-authors (optional)

Design & Formatting

Fonts

  • Titles & Headings: Aptos Display (Headings)
  • Body Text: Verdana

Measurements

  • All data and measurements must be presented in metric (SI) units in accordance with international scientific standards.

Audio/Video Content

If your presentation includes multimedia:

  • Include all audio/video files in your presentation.
  • Submit multimedia files separately along with your main presentation file.
  • Clearly indicate within the presentation which slides contain audio or video clips.

Copyright

Presenters are solely responsible for ensuring that their content does not infringe any third-party copyrights. All images, data, and multimedia must be appropriately sourced and credited.

Additional Notes

  • Late submissions may not be included in the official programme.
  • Technical support will be available on-site for testing presentations prior to your scheduled session.

Biographical Summary:
All speakers are required to submit a Biographical Summary for inclusion in the programme.
Please ensure this is submitted along with your presentation materials.
